Rockademy was built around the idea that great music education should develop skills while also giving students opportunities to play, connect and feel part of something.
What began as a specialist drum school has grown into a wider musical community without losing the personal, student-led approach that shaped Rockademy from the beginning. We want students to leave each week feeling they are becoming musicians, not simply completing another music lesson.

Rock, pop, funk, metal and contemporary playing sit naturally here.
Lessons adapt to goals, tastes and learning styles rather than one rigid curriculum.

Rockademy was first imagined in 2014 by UK session drummer, Jon Lodge, as a specialist drum school with a simple idea: listen to the learner rather than forcing everybody through the same lesson plan.
As demand grew, that ethos expanded into other instruments. Today the aim is still the same — high-quality, friendly tuition plus opportunities to actually use the skills students are developing.
Rockademy is also part of the wider Wirral community, creating musical opportunities for local children, adults and families.
